Procion MX Dyes from Jacquard Products
     Cold water fibre reactive dye known the world over ~ The undisputed king of tie dye,
     Procion MX is one of the most versatile dyes available for immersion dyeing, tie dye, batik,
          airbrush, garment dyeing, screen printing, spatter painting, and more!
     Procion MX fiber reactive dye will dye all cellulose (plant) fibers and some protein (animal)
          fibres. Common cellulose fibers are cotton, linen, jute, ramie, sisal, and rayon.
     Add cold tap water to this concentrate to create the most vivid of all dyes for cellulose fibres.
     Easily create a palette of colors ranging from light pastels to deep, vibrant hues.
     One 2/3 oz. bottle will dye more than 1 pound of fabric - very bright colors will require more
          dye, pastel colors will require less.
     If you see someone wearing a super bright "electric" tie dyed shirt, that's Procion MX!

Jacquard Dye Thickeners
     Alum - For pre-treating fabric before marbling so designs transfer well.
     Sodium Alginate - Derived from seaweed and is the most desirable thickener for
          Procion MX dye when screen printing, painting, or to control spreading.
     Sodium Alginate SH  - Used primarily for cotton and cellulose fibres. It may also be used
          for silk when fine line definition is not required.
     Carageenan - A natural seaweed gelling agent that provides viscosity for marbling on fabric.
     Urea - A humectant which attracts moisture from the air, keeping the fibre damp longer
          allowing a greater reaction time for the dye. Urea is used with sodium alginate thickener
          when printing, painting or directly applying Procion dye to fibre or is added to Procion dye
          for super intense color.
     Soda Ash - Also known as sodium carbonate or washing soda. A mild alkali that promotes
          the chemical reaction between Procion MX fiber reactive dye and cellulose fiber.
          Soda Ash is necessary to activate and "set" Procion dye.
